AXBL-Breakout

In early July 2005, Austin Flaherty, Scott Knowles and Bruce Johnston were at Mersey Road Paintball in East River, Nova Scotia, playing woodsball. They were in the neutral zone between rounds and overheard a few speedballers talking about a rookie tournament that was to be held at the end of the month. The speedballers were joking about how there was no way any woodsballers would have a chance in the tournament since they believed Tippmann markers were too big and slow. The three hard core woodsballers decided that they would enter the tournament, not to show that they are better then the speedballers, but to show that anyone can have fun playing speedball regardless of the marker. The team was formed that day.

Since that day in July 2005 the team has grown to 18 members and has played in both woodsball and speedball events throughout Eastern Canada and the North East US.

The ripples produced by the unique style of the Tippinators have also lapped onto the shores of sponsors, who are proudly associating themselves with the team. In addition to the infectious, fun-loving style of the Tippinators, the team's sportsmanship and integrity is near legendary status among locals and continues to impact the sport around them.

  • Active Roster   ( 18 Articles )

The Tippinators are fortunate to have rostered some of the hardest working, most dedicated players in Eastern Canada. Each player knows the team comes before the individual player. The players are committed to each other creating a bond almost unheard of in amateur sport.

The strength of the team comes from playing and practicing regularly, plus weekly wing night at local restaurant and other off field activities has made this one of tightest knit groups in the sport. The Tippinators are more like a big dysfunctional family then a team. That’s the way they like it.

Whether on or off the field the Tippinators promote the positive aspects of paintball and make sure everyone is having fun.

  • Reserve Roster   ( 7 Articles )

Just as important to the team are the players on the reserve roster. These players cannot commit to the grueling schedule of the team. They still get out to play whenever possible and have the same high standards as the rest of the Tippinators with respect to the game and each other.
