The Tippinators attended the 23rd Atlantic Outdoor Sports
& RV Show held from March 16 to 19, 2006 at Exhibition
Park in Halifax Nova Scotia and helped man the booth operated by
Overkill Sportz. The show was a huge success with the team meeting
and talking to thousands of paintballers and fans.
Scott
'Hired Gun' Knowles, Austin 'Juno' Flaherty and Bruce
'Charon' Johnston met and talked with current, past and future
paintball players of all ages over two days. The team gave
out hundreds of team stickers, promotional photographs and
autographs to the many visitors to the booth while answering questions
about the sport. The team posed for pictures with wide eyed
kids who were holding their mil sim Tippmann A-5 markers that
were sometimes taller then the kids holding them.
One
of the main objectives for the team was to answer questions
posed by the curious who have considered but never played
paintball and to clear up popular misconceptions of concerned
parents of children who are eager to play.
Carter
Johnson and Glen Hunter Co-owners of Overkill Sportz in Mount
Uniacke, Nova Scotia put together a first class display at the show and
the Tippinators are proud to have been involved and to have
the chance to bring the sport of paintball to the general
public.
Event organizers and the public were impressed
with Overkill Sportz and the Tippinators positive
presentation of paintball and everyone involved believes that positive
exposure generated by attending the 23rd Atlantic Outdoor
Sports & RV Show will help the paintball community in Nova
Scotia grow and become even stronger.
